Opening Dialogue

The sounds that you are hearing are really in your mind.
They echo like the endless winds of time.
The weak must fall the strong will stand,
As the old gives way to the new.

1st Verse

A new day is slowly dawning – the old gives way to the new.
And the evenings pass on so quickly and that’s the way it is with me and you.
Have you ever spent the night in a grave yard – trying to make the dead understand;
Why you really don’t want to join them – but they keep right on extending you their hands.

2nd Verse

A new day is slowly dawning – the old gives way to the new.
And dying is just a part of living and growing old is really good for you.

Turn Around

A new day is slowly dawning – the old gives way to the new.
A child is born someone is dying and that’s the way it is with me and you.
Have you ever spent the night in a grave yard – trying to make the dead understand.
Why you really don’t care to join them, but you know they don’t really give a damn.

Oh, a new day is slowly dawning – the old gives way to the new.
So don’t be afraid of the living – ‘cause the dying it may be good for you.
Yes, a new day is slowly dawning – the old gives way to the new.
A child is born someone is dying and that’s the way it is with me and you.
