The Time Traveler

(Captain T (Tom Hunnicutt))
The Time Traveler
By Tom Hunnicutt

1st Verse
I am a Time Traveler, but don’t ask me where I’ve been,
Don’t ask me where I’m going, ‘cause I don’t know my friend.
I’ve been a million places, lived a thousand lives,
In search of higher life forms – in search of a new disguise.

2nd Verse
Once I was a general, where a woman ruled as king,
Once I was a poet – who sang up in a tree.
I recall a great disaster – at the bottom of the sea,
But it wasn’t in this world or in your galaxy.

3RD Verse
I often think of tunnels, where a queen was in control,
Where we scurried to the bottom to store our food below.
Once I did a murder – many times I’ve been slain,
Once I was a sailor or was I just a frog.

Turn Around

4th Verse
Why do I have this boby –why do I have this mind?
Why do I have these features and questions on my mind?
For centries I’ve drifted through endless space and time,
Seeking out unknown answers to a higher form of life.

5th Verse
I am a Time Traveler, but don’t ask me where I’ve been,
Don’t ask me where I’m going, ‘cause I don’t know my friend.
I’ve been a million places – I’ve lived a thousand lives,
In search of unknown answers and a higher life form life.

Ending Tag
