(Cowboys & Indians)

1st
Good Guys, Bad Guys – Cowboys and Indians,
Some of the things that they taught us in school.
Like trust in the flag and J. Edgar Hoover,
For you know he’ll always tell you the truth.
But if you have never been busted,
For wearing your hair to long,
Or for saying Hoover was crazy,
You won’t understand all them laws.

2nd
Get smart, go to school and get your diploma,
Here’s a list we programmed for you.
You can read it, but don’t try to change it,
Just follow along like other folks do.
But if you have never been hassled,
For wearing levis and a beard,
Or for saying Jesus was murder,
You won’t understand all my tears.

3rd
Grow up, grow tall and go join a service,
We have several of one you may choose.
Pick a weapon we’ll teach you to use it,
To use it with honor like all soldiers do.
But once that you have been there,
You’ll find the honor gets thin.
When the bodies start to smelling,
You’ll understand war then my friend.

4th
Good Guys, Bad Guys, Cowboys and Indians,
Religion and politics too.
Join a church get your ticket to heaven,
Oh, don’t worry there’s room for Republicans too.
‘Cause if you have really been listening,
you’ll find preacher lie too.
But you don’t need to worry,
the congress will tell you the truth.
